On Tuesday 5 September the Machiavelli Foundation traditionally kicked-off the parliamentary year in Nieuwspoort with two group chairmen. This year, Emile Roemer (SP) and Gert-Jan Segers (ChristenUnie), under supervision of Volkskrant journalist Martin Sommer, looked forward to the forthcoming political year and what, according to them, becomes important and their own role in it. This included the ongoing formation negotiations and the expected coalition agreement. The meeting was broadcasted live on NPO Politiek24.
